Baby It’s Cold Outside
Cold weather is here and with it comes an opportunity for you to talk with your customers about coil freezing problems and Armstrong’s Centifeed coil solutions. Centifeed coils (tube inside a tube) feed the steam into a small inner tube and then return the condensate in the outer tube. The Armstrong design is unique in that it has the header only on one side which allows for thermal expansion and provides greater protection in freezing conditions. Please contact John Bryant or Sebastien Guay to learn more about Armstrong Heat Transfer Centifeed coil solutions. They’ll be happy to hop on a call with you and your customer, as well as set-up a site visit or host a webinar.

SAGE® Improvements Make Survey Season Smarter
We’re kicking off the 2024-2025 season with some great SAGE® improvements to help customers record smarter information and better understand the value of their failed traps.
We’ve enhanced SAGE® to show a refreshed menu when the SAGE UMT® detects a cold trap. It now displays the trap's detected temperature to help the technician better diagnose the condition.
Users can select “Why am I getting this reading?” to learn more about how the UMT measures temperature. There are also guides and troubleshooting steps to help improve the accuracy of the measurement.
If the technician feels they are getting an incorrect reading because the surface finish is incorrectly logged in SAGE®, they can easily select the “Adjust Surface Finish” button to make the correction. We’ve also added more surfaces with clearer descriptions and images to help guide the user. If technicians want to further refine the correction measurement, they can select the “Custom” option and select any emissivity value between 0 and 1 (incremented by 0.05).
Remind your SAGE® customers to update trap status in the resolve feature to keep an accurate view of the system’s efficiency as well as apply a dollar value to CO2 and cold traps for an accurate cost accounting of failed traps. Details are highlighted in the December 2023 edition of Perform and on the tutorial page. You can also watch this webinar. |

Additionally, ReadiTemp® configurations between 10 GPM and 350 GPM capacities are now available in C1. Configurations are available for up to 200°F temperature differentials. Other options include heat exchanger types (shell and tube or plate and frame), stainless steel or copper piping, BACnet, and battery backup. C1 will also calculate the steam load for PRV sizing. New Rep Onboarding and Orientation
Has your organization hired new Representatives? Or, has a current Representative changed jobs or perhaps retired? We like to keep our records neat and clean, but we need your help. When there are changes in your organization, log in to your User Portal and click/submit the "Employee Onboarding/Offboarding Form" to keep our business systems updated.
When a new Representative is registered, they will automatically be enrolled in Armstrong's Rep Orientation. The rep will be assigned a username and password to access the Armstrong User Portal and Armstrong University as well as be added to our email distribution lists. Please allow up to 24 hours for a new rep account to be created.
You can also use the form to essentially "remove" a departing Representative from Armstrong's records as well. We appreciate your help in ensuring we always have the most up-to-date contact information for your company. If you have any questions or need help in updating your organization's records, please contact us now.
As our business grows, naturally so does yours. To fortify our partnership and reinforce our support, we have reenergized and restructured our existing Rep onboarding program to better serve new representatives as they begin their selling journey.
Armstrong’s Rep Orientation will include a targeted Armstrong University® curriculum built specifically for Reps supported by Virtual Knowledge “Check Ups”. Once complete, collaborative in-field mentoring will follow ensuring you can apply knowledge to practice on customer calls. |
