STEAM, AIR, AND HOT WATER EDITION

Armstrong Selected As Manufacturer Of The Year

Armstrong International has been recognized as Michigan’s 2023 Manufacturer of the Year by the Michigan Manufacturers Association!

To be recognized by our fellow industry peers in the state where our headquarters has resided for more than a century, is a testament to our leadership and success in helping companies in Michigan and around the world improve efficiency, lower energy use, and reduce environmental emissions.

With more than 300 talented team members in Michigan alone, we take pride in the impressive work we do not only for our customers, but also for our manufacturing peers, the communities we serve and for our state’s economy overall. This award is a direct reflection of the 120+ years we have spent providing customers with the tools, expertise, and resources to improve productivity, streamline processes and, most importantly, protect the environment. Congratulations!

Powerful New Features Coming to SAGE®

Armstrong will host a webinar on Thursday, December 14th and again on Tuesday, December 19th, to share some powerful new features that will be added to SAGE® in January.

SAGE® will now have a Resolve feature that allows users to record trap repairs and replacements. These records will be saved to history and easily viewed through SAGE®, or the new Resolve Report. With this new feature, SAGE® users will have better visibility of past repairs enabling an easier diagnosis of repeating issues.

We are also excited to share the updated SAGE® dashboard. The new features of the dashboard allow users to account for the costs of plugged traps and CO2 emissions. Additionally, SAGE® now gives better visibility into how often traps are being surveyed and with the new Resolve feature, the SAGE® dashboard will report the average “Time to Resolve”, the reaction time between when failed traps are identified to when they are resolved.

Register now for one of the two SAGE® webinars to view the powerful new features coming in January!
RSVP for the webinar on December 14th at 2pm
RSVP for the webinar on December 19th at 2pm

This information will also be made available to SAGE® users. Once the updates are live, video tutorials will be added to the SAGE® tutorials web page.

Order Entry Tips & Reminders

This month’s tip is to encourage your receiving departments and customers to refuse packages and shipments when they arrive damaged. Refusing to sign for damaged freight is a crucial step in protecting your interests and ensuring that you receive the goods you deserve in proper condition.

When you sign for damaged freight, you accept responsibility for the shipment in its compromised state, making it difficult to later claim compensation or replacement. By refusing to sign, you retain the ability to hold the carrier accountable for any potential damage incurred during transit. This not only safeguards your financial investment, but also upholds your rights as a consignee. It provides you with the opportunity to thoroughly inspect the shipment, document any visible damages, and communicate discrepancies with the carrier immediately. This proactive approach empowers you to seek appropriate recourse, whether it be filing a claim or arranging for a replacement shipment. In essence, not signing for damaged freight is a prudent measure to protect your interests, maintain the integrity of the supply chain, and promote accountability within the shipping process.

New Rep Onboarding and Orientation

Has your organization hired new Representatives? Or, has a current Representative changed jobs or perhaps retired? We like to keep our records neat and clean, but we need your help. When there are changes in your organization, log in to your User Portal and click/submit the "Employee Onboarding/Offboarding Form" to keep our business systems updated.

When a new Representative is registered, they will automatically be enrolled in Armstrong's Rep Orientation. The rep will be assigned a username and password to access the Armstrong User Portal and Armstrong University as well as be added to our email distribution lists. Please allow up to 24 hours for a new rep account to be created.

You can also use the form to essentially "remove" a departing Representative from Armstrong's records as well. We appreciate your help in ensuring we always have the most up-to-date contact information for your company. If you have any questions or need help in updating your organization's records, please contact us now.

As our business grows, naturally so does yours. To fortify our partnership and reinforce our support, we have reenergized and restructured our existing Rep onboarding program to better serve new representatives as they begin their selling journey.

Armstrong’s Rep Orientation will include a targeted Armstrong University® curriculum built specifically for Reps supported by Virtual Knowledge “Check Ups”. Once complete, collaborative in-field mentoring will follow ensuring you can apply knowledge to practice on customer calls.
