STEAM, AIR, AND HOT WATER EDITION

Distance Learning Is Alive And Well At Armstrong

The Covid-19 pandemic has forced us to practice social distancing and embrace distance learning. While in-person spring seminars and special events have been postponed or cancelled, now is a great time to leverage our world-class North American Learning Center to educate your engineers and key customers.

We are ready to perform live demonstrations from the Learning Center while also handling questions from remote audiences. Potential topics range from Steam Basics, Operating Characteristics of Different Steam Traps, and a heat exchanger experiencing a “Stall” condition, to Sage UMT®, Humidification and The Brain®. We’ve hosted Lunch & Learns for a single engineering office as well as multiple locations simultaneously. Audiences may include engineers, end users, or contractors, and a session could range from 45 minutes to 4 hours. Email Jon Bingaman or give him a call at 269-217-6159 for more information.

Historic 1861 Barn Meets 21st Century DRV25 Generation III Technology

Englewood Barn is a new restaurant and music venue that is coming to Hershey, Pennsylvania. The heart of the project is a historic 150-year-old barn that once served as a cow-milking parlor of the Milton Hershey farm.

Moo-ve over rustic thermostatic technology. The Brain of the project is a DRV25 that will deliver precise hot water temperature control to the staff and guests. The venue will fill the barn’s first floor and feature the original wooden beams. The DRV25 will occupy very little space and will feature Bluetooth connectivity. Congratulations to Dave Campbell and his team at Associated Steam Specialty for this historic barn-busting installation!

What’s Wrong With This Photo?

Last month we asked you to identify “What’s Wrong With This Photo” and we received responses from 11 “Brain Surgeons”. A picture does paint a thousand installation errors – well, almost. The photo did present a lot of talking points, including a few honorable mentions.

Of those who responded, one respectfully excused himself from the random drawing due to a conflict of interest (since it was his install). That left 10 participants that generated a total of 61 observations. Each observation earned the submitter a random draw opportunity.

Congratulations to Bruce Moninghoff from Power Equipment, Tennessee. Look for another “What’s Wrong With This Photo?” coming in June.
