Healthcare Summit at Armstrong's Learning Center
Armstrong recently partnered with Affiliated Steam to host a Healthcare Summit in Three Rivers, bringing together healthcare facilities leaders from across the Chicagoland area.
Mark Delange of Affiliated Steam played a pivotal role in engaging key customers, resulting in participation from leadership representing Rush University Health System, Mount Sinai Health, Lurie Children’s Hospital, Prime Healthcare, Rush Oak Park Hospital, Thorek West Hospital, and Shirley Ryan Ability Lab in addition to the Franklin Energy account manager supporting these hospitals and preferred contractors Hill Mechanical and Zentel Tech.
Day 1 focused on critical operational topics, including steam system optimization, healthy hot water systems, and improving steam efficiency and reliability for sterile processing and humidification applications. On Day 2, Western Michigan University (WMU) shared the story of its highly regarded Steam Trap Management program, which has run successfully for 37 consecutive years. The session was hosted on WMU’s campus at the Student Center.
Attendees also participated in a mechanical room tour of Arcadia Flats Apartments, where Armstrong showcased its Digital-Flo® Instantaneous Water Heaters integrated with the Armstrong Nanobubble Generator.

ANG: One Team in Action
Rick LaRose visited Kansas City in June to present a Lunch & Learn for HDR Engineering, a global firm specializing in healthcare and data centers.
What began as a local event quickly became a collaborative effort across multiple regions. Scott Robben of Mead O’Brien coordinated the session with HDR’s Kansas City office, while Jeff McCaslin of Campbell Sevey brought in participants virtually from HDR’s Omaha headquarters. Michael Atkinson (Campbell Sevey) also connected engineers from the Minneapolis office, expanding the audience even further.
Rick delivered an excellent presentation on Nanobubble technology to more than 30 engineers, generating strong interest and discussion. The biggest win came after the session, when HDR’s Mechanical Director requested support in incorporating Armstrong ANG into the firm’s national specification — a great example of teamwork turning an educational opportunity into a meaningful business result. |
Heat Transfer Rep School: Another Success
Our Spring Rep School was another great success. With participants from Hatfield, Steam Solutions, Energy West, Preston Phipps, and our own Circular Thermal team, we had a great class of new Heat Transfer Superstars!
In addition to classroom instruction, attendees enjoyed a factory tour and hands-on coil measurement training, both of which were highlights of the program. As Hatfield’s Matt Hamilton shows us, there was plenty of valuable information to “drink up”!
This was our only Rep School of 2026 as we look ahead to Armstrong’s Sales Meeting in Grand Rapids this fall. The next opportunity to attend Rep School will be spring of 2027.
