STEAM, AIR, AND HOT WATER EDITION

Teamwork in Action

While setting up a week of Nanobubble calls, Jeff McCaslin of Campbell Sevey (Nebraska) coordinated a Lunch and Learn with Alvine Engineering in Lincoln, Nebraska. Alvine expanded the opportunity to include their Des Moines, Iowa, and Oklahoma City, Oklahoma offices, turning it into a multi-location event.

With a few phone calls and coordination of the ATMs, local representatives Dyrk Myhr (Affiliated Steam) and Hal Niemann (Hatfield) stepped in to support the effort by organizing lunch for their respective Alvine offices. The result was a successful three-office Lunch and Learn made possible through collaboration among three rep organizations. Special thanks to Jeff, Hal, and Dyrk for their teamwork and initiative. Rick LaRose delivered an excellent presentation, and the event successfully reached more than 35 engineers across the Midwest — demonstrating the power of collaboration and teamwork.

Order Entry Tips & Reminders

All Limited Access Facilities (LTLs) carriers require a contact name, phone number, building number and/or dock number for Limited Access Deliveries.

If this information is not included on the Bill of Lading, the receiving department may refuse delivery and turn the carrier away. These facilities typically do not have the capacity to track down where a shipment belongs — making complete delivery details on the Bill of Lading essential. Missed or refused deliveries can also result in additional re-delivery charges.

LTLs are businesses that are not open to the general public. They include any facility with a gated entrance, fence, or security checkpoints. Limited access can also be a location deemed "Limited" by the carrier.

Some examples of Limited Access Facilities include (but are not limited to):
  • Hospitals
  • Medical facilities
  • Universities • Refineries
  • Government buildings
  • Correctional facilities
  • Churches • Military bases
  • Nursing homes
  • Hotels
  • Malls
  • Construction sites
  • Airports
  • Farms
  • Golf courses
When shipping to a Limited Access Facility, include a contact name, phone number, and clearly note “Limited Access Facility” on the PO and Bill of Lading.

Changes to Emech® E50WR Standard Components

Armstrong Hot Water Group is updating the standard configuration of the Emech® E50WR. Moving forward, units will be supplied with coated 316 stainless steel discs, replacing zirconia discs.

Coated 316 stainless steel discs deliver durable, bubble-tight sealing and consistent performance across applications. This change is driven by both rising zirconia costs and the proven performance of stainless steel.

As part of this transition, Armstrong will no longer supply zirconia discs as spare or replacement components. All E50WR disc replacements will require stainless steel discs.

Please be sure to communicate this update when supporting your customers.

Preparing for Summer With Higher Education Customers

Warmer days are just around the corner — but summer on campus moves fast. As colleges and universities begin planning for the 2026–2027 academic year, now is the time to engage your Higher Education customers on projects that must be completed before fall semesters begin.

Early planning and timely PO placement are critical to meeting deadlines and delivering the level of service our customers expect.

Please prioritize outreach to your Higher Education customers now to:
  • Identify projects requiring delivery before August 2026.
  • Reinforce the importance of early PO submission.
  • Set clear expectations around lead times and capacity.
The earlier we receive committed orders, the better positioned we are to execute smoothly and deliver on schedule.
