Armstrong Hot Water Group Ships Landmark Heat Pump Order
Last summer, Armstrong Hot Water Group received an exciting new order for a large, complex heat pump system — one of the first projects of its kind for our team. We’d like to express our sincere thanks to everyone involved in designing, building, testing, and shipping four impressive skids for this order, including our Circular Thermal and New Product Development teams as well as our engineers, drafters, purchasers, package builders, and shipping teams. The heat pump was successfully tested in mid-February and was shipped to our customer in Atlanta, Georgia, at the beginning of March. This project was a series of milestone accomplishments that would not have been possible without the collaboration, expertise, and dedication of our team. It stands as a true example of teamwork and the Armstrong spirit.

Get Ship Shape
We’d like to encourage your receiving departments and customers to refuse packages and shipments when they arrive damaged. More specifically, we have had an uptick in packages involving Pressure Reducing Valves & Control Valves arriving from UPS & FEDEX damaged in various ways, and moving forward, Armstrong cannot be responsible for replacing parts if UPS or FEDEX is the chosen method of transport for GP-2000’s or Control Valves.
REMEMBER – refusing to sign for damaged freight is a crucial step in protecting your interests and ensuring that you receive the goods you deserve in proper condition.
As of April 1st, 2026, all GP-2000 & OB-2000 Pressure Reducing valves along with all CV1500 Control Valves, regardless of weight, are recommended to ship via LTL freight. When sending in any Purchase Order with PRVs or Control Valves along with the term of Prepay & Add, Armstrong will ship BEST WAY LTL Feight. If a Purchase Order is received with the term COLLECT, your shipping method of UPS/FEDEX will be used, and your customer will be responsible for any/all damages that may be incurred during transit. Armstrong will no longer be able to cover damages if the shipment arrives in less-than-perfect condition when the selected mode of transportation is UPS/FEDEX. If your products are damaged using standard freight, you must REFUSE shipment for us to hold the carrier responsible and get the product returned and replaced accordingly.
REMEMBER! When you sign for damaged freight, you accept responsibility for the shipment in its compromised state, making it difficult to later claim compensation or replacement.
By refusing to sign, you retain the ability to hold the carrier accountable for any potential damage incurred during transit. This not only safeguards your financial investment but also upholds your rights as a consignee. It provides you with the opportunity to thoroughly inspect the shipment, document any visible damages, and communicate discrepancies with the carrier immediately. This proactive approach empowers you to seek appropriate resources, whether it be filing a claim or arranging for a replacement shipment. In essence, not signing for damaged freight is a prudent measure to protect your interests, maintain the integrity of the supply chain, and promote accountability within the shipping process. |
