A Fond Farewell
As we welcome a new year, we also bid a fond farewell to two long time members of the Armstrong family.
Paul Knight joined Armstrong back in 1998. Since then, Paul has been at the forefront of many firsts at Armstrong. Most notably, Paul guided Armstrong into the digital age with the introduction of The Brain® back in 2008. He helped forge business partnerships with companies including Kohler-Mira and continued to spearhead the evolution of our digital hot water solutions over the past 15 years including the most recent launch of Armada℠. Paul was also instrumental in supporting the integration of Hamilton Engineering into the Armstrong family of companies. Paul will officially retire on February 7. Thank you, Paul, for your invaluable contribution to our success!
Cam Spence joined Armstrong way back in 1988. From his early days as a Product Specialist, Cam rose through the ranks to become director of Global Food and Pharmaceutical markets working with key customers including Nestle, Pepsi, Coke, and others. In 2017, Cam transitioned to North American Industrial sales and then in 2020, he also took on the position of Educational Development Director where he led training and development of our customers and representatives through our worldwide learning centers. 37+ years of experience at Armstrong will be hard to top. Thank you, Cam, for your tireless service, and all the best in your retirement! |
Armstrong On The Move
The Armstrong Hot Water Group is pleased to announce the following team updates effective January 6.
Jeremiah Mastny has accepted the role of North America Learning Director previously held by Cam Spence. As part of this transition, Josh Reasoner will assume the role of Director of Business Development – Institutional Markets.
Kyle Bradford has accepted the position of Institutional Application Engineer. Under Josh's leadership, Kyle will be joined by Kriston Shank, Scott Sumeraki, and Alina Springer, who will all report directly to him. With Kyle moving from engineering to sales, Jon Singer will take on the role of Industrial Product Engineer and will report to Matt McNamara. Please join us in congratulating Jeremiah, Josh, Kyle, and Jon on their new roles. |
Sidestream Configuration Now Available For Nanobubble Generator

The ANG Sidestream is a pre-piped assembly that includes the Armstrong Nanobubble Generator, plus ancillary piping, valves, and gauges for quick and easy installation in sidestream applications. The ANG Sidestream configuration ensures that the ANG is installed correctly for proper performance.
Installing nanobubble technology in a sidestream application does not typically require significant modifications to existing systems, making it a relatively non-invasive solution for removing and preventing scale build-up. Like the standalone Nanobubble Generator, the ANG Sidestream application needs minimal maintenance compared to other water treatment or enhancement technologies. And, coming this spring, ANG integration into Digital Mixing Center packages!
The ANG Sidestream is available with copper or stainless-steel piping. Submittal drawings for the ANG Sidestream application are available in the ANG Submittal Package. Please visit the Armstrong User Portal to review the ANG launch package and contact the Hot Water Group if you have any questions.

The Power Of SAGE®
As you can see in the table below, the customer’s decision to replace thermodynamic steam traps with inverted bucket traps was easily justified using the steam trap survey report within SAGE®.

The annual failure rate was 22.2 percent for the thermodynamic steam traps versus 7.5 percent for the inverted bucket steam traps. Looking at the last 12 months, the report allows you to evaluate the annual failure rate without considering the traps that have been replaced.
Please contact Philippe Moock or Andres Blaubach if you have any questions. |
Price Increase Announcement
Armstrong International will implement a price increase effective March 31, 2025. Armstrong International - Steam and Condensate Group, Armstrong International - Hot Water Group, Armstrong International - Heat Transfer Group, Armstrong International - VERIS Flow Measurement Group, and Armstrong International - Humidification Group will implement an average increase of 4.5%. New Price Books will be distributed no later than March 28, 2025. We assure you that this price increase is aligned with the industry standards and enables us to keep up with rising market costs without compromising on quality. |
Trap Sizing Now Available To End Users
Trap Sizing (Trap-a-ware™) is now available online through the Armstrong Configurator to all end users. The Trap-A-ware™ program will help you size and select Armstrong steam traps for specific applications using known sizing parameters. This tool will also enable registered end users to access the drawings and links to product information. End users can register at the Armstrong website and then access the Configurator as usual and start a new configuration. Download the Trap-A-Ware™ guidelines for more information. |
Save The Date
Mark your calendars for the Armstrong Heat Transfer spring representative school to be held May 5-7, 2025, in Granby, Quebec. Watch for more details after the new year and contact John Bryant or Sebastien Guay to reserve your seat. |
Get Certified
The ability to accurately evaluate steam trap operation can pay dividends in energy conservation, save countless maintenance hours, and reduce unscheduled downtime in your steam system due to trap failure.

Become certified by attending one of our 2025 Level 1 Trap Survey Technician Training classes at Armstrong's North American Learning Center in Three Rivers, MI. It will prepare facilities personnel to accurately and efficiently survey steam and condensate utility systems and diagnose root causes of any trap failures.

New Rep Onboarding and Orientation
Has your organization hired new Representatives? Or, has a current Representative changed jobs or perhaps retired? We like to keep our records neat and clean, but we need your help. When there are changes in your organization, log in to your User Portal and click/submit the "Employee Onboarding/Offboarding Form" to keep our business systems updated.
When a new Representative is registered, they will automatically be enrolled in Armstrong's Rep Orientation. The rep will be assigned a username and password to access the Armstrong User Portal and Armstrong University as well as be added to our email distribution lists. Please allow up to 24 hours for a new rep account to be created.
You can also use the form to essentially "remove" a departing Representative from Armstrong's records as well. We appreciate your help in ensuring we always have the most up-to-date contact information for your company. If you have any questions or need help in updating your organization's records, please contact us now.
As our business grows, naturally so does yours. To fortify our partnership and reinforce our support, we have reenergized and restructured our existing Rep onboarding program to better serve new representatives as they begin their selling journey.
Armstrong’s Rep Orientation will include a targeted Armstrong University® curriculum built specifically for Reps supported by Virtual Knowledge “Check Ups”. Once complete, collaborative in-field mentoring will follow ensuring you can apply knowledge to practice on customer calls. |
