STEAM, AIR, AND HOT WATER EDITION

Introducing ABH XL

The Armstrong ABH XL is a new base mounted volume water heater (requires a tank) and boiler (closed loop/ building heating) that delivers increased capacity and versatility for institutional applications including hospitals, healthcare, higher education environments and more.

This release increases the capacity to include 800MBH, 1000MBH, and 1500MBH BTU units. The new ABH XL provides options for larger systems to still provide N+1 redundancy and versatility with complete packages, partial packages, equipment for field installations, or combination systems to support building heating and domestic hot water. The ABH XL is the first of three rollouts that will complete a product line featuring 2000MBH, 3000MBH, and 4000MBH units. View the details and email Tyler Segur or call him at 269-303-5742 for more information.

A Fond Farewell And A Warm Welcome

It’s rare for someone to leave Armstrong, so it was a surprise when Dan Tomlinson announced his intention to part ways. Dan has done such an amazing job over the past 8 years. His can-do attitude, responsiveness and supportive nature will be truly missed! Dan knows that the door is always open for him to return to Armstrong. So rather than say “goodbye”, let’s leave it at “see you later”. Okay Dan?

Jeremiah Mastny has graciously agreed to relinquish his duties as distribution sales manager of the Steam & Condensate Team to fill the role of Institutional Products Manager with the Hot Water Team, which Dan previously held. Jeremiah is no stranger to most of you. He’s been with Armstrong since 2017 and he will do a stellar job in his new role. Welcome Jeremiah!

We are excited to announce that Kathy Kalinoski has accepted the role of Distribution Manager in addition to her current role as Demand Manager. She has been with Armstrong for 19 years and brings a vast knowledge of our business systems, forecasting, and comprehensive reporting. Her eye for detail and thoroughness will continue to bring value in her new role. Please congratulate Kathy on her new position.

Armstrong Heat Transfer Group Meets Challenging Indoor Air Quality Standards

Hospitals and health care facilities must comply with ASHRAE and other regulatory standards with respect to air change rates, humidity requirements, and pressurization.

ASHRAE Standard 62.1: Ventilation for Acceptable Indoor Air Quality, is a recognized industry standard that directly addresses IAQ and includes requirements specifically identified for health care occupancies for air temperature, relative humidity, contaminants, air-distribution systems, and pressurization.

ASHRAE Standard 170: Ventilation of Health Care Facilities was specifically created for the health care environment and goes into greater detail than 62.1.; Providing design standards on filtration, air movement, ventilation, and humidity for health care-specific spaces.

Others such as FGI (Facility Guidelines Institute), hospital accreditation groups, federal, state, and local codes, and departments of health, have requirements for HVAC design to meet IAQ standards.

Best Practices for Healthy IAQ:
  • Fresh Outside Air
  • Filtration
  • UV Radiation
  • Humidification
  • Pressurization Control
Keeping up with indoor air quality standards is always a challenge, and the Armstrong Heat Transfer Group is up to the challenge.

Rep Onboarding And Organization Updates

Has your organization hired new Representatives? Or, has a current Representative changed jobs or perhaps retired? We like to keep our records neat and clean, but we need your help! When there are changes in your organization, please use the Rep Onboarding Form at www.armstronginternational.com/rep-onboarding-form to keep our business systems updated.

When a new Representative registers, they will automatically be assigned a username and password to access the Armstrong User Portal and Armstrong University as well as be added to our email distribution lists to receive Perform, pricing updates and other important information. You can also use the form to essentially "remove" a departing Representative from Armstrong's records as well. We appreciate your help in ensuring we always have the most up-to-date contact information for your company. If you have any questions or need help in updating your organization's records, please contact us now.
