STEAM, AIR, AND HOT WATER EDITION

Hamilton Engineering And Leslie Constantemp™ Water Heater Join The Armstrong Hot Water Group

Armstrong is pleased to announce that our two most recent strategic acquisitions are now fully integrated into the Armstrong Hot Water Group and are based out of the Fun Factory in Three Rivers.

Hamilton Engineering operates as a fully independent sales and marketing organization with its own commercial representation channel and its legacy boiler and space heating specialization. Hamilton also maintains a recognizable profile in the coin operated and on-premises laundry sector, along with a strong presence as an automated car wash water heater supplier.

While Hamilton remains independent of Armstrong as a market facing brand, its technology is now the basis for the Armstrong Boilers & Heaters (ABH) range which, as the following two stories validate, is rapidly gaining traction with Armstrong sales representation. MUCH more to follow as we prepare to launch some exciting new additions to the Armstrong gas fired water heating portfolio at ASPE in Indianapolis this September!

The asset purchase of Leslie Controls is now also complete and the Constantemp water heater is in full production in the Fun Factory. Armstrong owns the Constantemp brand and will sustain a near term linkage to the Leslie name, captioned as “Leslie Constantemp” for a negotiated time period TBD.

As with Hamilton, Leslie Constantemp remains with the exclusive legacy sales channel which was in place at the time of acquisition.

Technology Driven Hospital Leverages Armstrong Solutions

Nutek Health prides itself on being a technology-enabled health management company. The company is underway with a new 19,600 square foot, 25 bed specialty hospital and freestanding ER in Royse City, Texas. The new hospital will include an Armstrong gas fired ABH package with (2) 199K BTU/hr heaters, a 500-gallon storage tank, and a DMC25 including recirc piping and pumps.

SWA, the consulting firm tasked with the plumbing design, was enthusiastic about the paring of a customizable pre-piped, high efficiency gas-fired water heater and Armstrong’s digital mixing valve technology. They know and trust these solutions for their healthcare projects. As mechanical room space becomes a valued commodity – especially in newer micro hospital design, the Armstrong and Hatfield team worked diligently with the plumbing engineers to customize a heater package that will dependably and efficiently meet the client and its patients hot water needs for years to come.

Armstrong ABH Package Is Ideal Fit For Church & Dwight

Church & Dwight manufactures well-known brands including Arm & Hammer. Campbell-Sevey worked with the customer who wanted to keep a 3000+ gallon tank full of 160 degrees+ domestic water. Originally, Church & Dwight was looking at a direct contact water heater. However, the size of the application was much smaller and not ideal for an atmospheric heater. These demands called for three ABH599’s and a 3300-gallon horizontal ASME tank. The large tank is required to help with the peak intermittent demands. The water is used for process water heating.

Warm Weather Is Here

Temps are rising and now is a great time to contact your customers and remind them that you can help with those replacement cooling coils. Armstrong Duralite™ Plate Fin Liquid Coils are available in a wide range of construction designs and material thicknesses from two to 12 rows, with double, full or half circuits, and custom circuits are also available. All Armstrong coils are custom built, and the connection location can be fabricated for easy replacement. So as the summer heats up, remember Duralite Coils are the key to long life and dependable performance in HVAC and light industrial applications. For more information, contact our applications engineers at 450-378-2655 and stay cool with Armstrong this summer.

No Straight Run? No Problem!

Congratulations to Associated Steam, Air, and Hot Water, for their success in securing a nice flow measurement order for 10 Accelabars at Georgetown University totaling $77k. This win was made possible by leveraging existing sales and relations at The Ohio State University through the energy company Engie. We’ll be using successes such as these to promote our new Higher Education Flow Measurement focused initiative and reinforce the need for schools and universities to accurately monitor, measure, and track steam/hot water, chilled water and energy usage (for billing and decarbonization benchmarking) year-round.

Armstrong will be reaching out to our VERIS Flow measurement Representatives over the next few months to strategize and develop tactics to create opportunities for flow measurement in the Higher Education market in North America. Please contact Jon Zoppa or Andrew Witteck for more information.

Hats Off To Our 2022 Graduates!

Armstrong was pleased to host another successful Institutional Representative School last month with 15 sales representatives in attendance. It was a full week of learning from each of the product groups and Institutional Market directors on the unique value proposition and strategies from Armstrong International. We greatly appreciate the time and resources that the Armstrong representative organizations and salespeople invest. As a wise man from Armstrong once said, “Our success depends on the Armstrong representative’s success”. Please let us know how we can continue to help you achieve success.

Next Heat Transfer School Is September 12-14

It’s a wrap for our May Heat Transfer Representative School in Granby, Quebec. This great looking group of representatives graduated with newfound knowledge of Heat Transfer Products and Applications and are ready to share what they learned with their customers. The school was three days of “heavy duty” focus on heat transfer products and applications as well as the customers to target in both institutional and industrial markets. Our next school is scheduled for September 12th – 14th, 2022. Space is limited so please let us know now by emailing Marty Stevens or Sebastien Guay.
