Important Notice: Updated Extended Lead Time for Products

To manage expectations and to help you make informed decisions, we'd like to provide an update about products that currently have extended lead times. We continue to experience a significant number of delayed customer orders due to international port congestion, domestic vendor capacity issues, internal capacity limitations, and an increase in orders.

In addition to the update, we also recognize the unusually cold conditions across North America. Armstrong stands ready to help our customers by producing additional steam trap inventory to address failures quickly. Please contact us today and get replacements to ensure your customers' plants are able to function smoothly and safely, without interruption.

Below is a status update for each division in regards to lead time expectations and order fulfillment. If a product is NOT listed below, an extended lead time is not expected at this time.

Hot Water Group
Lead times are within typical time frames aside from Armstrong Flo-Direct and VFD packages; however those are quoted per project with lead times at that time. Quotes will continue to expire in 30 days. Lead times for Recirc pumps and VFDs have increased to 2 - 3 times the typical lead times. The stainless steel can sets for the AFDs have been pushed out as well.

If you are aware of an order near term, please make us aware so we can plan accordingly. If we are confident this job will close, we’ll pre-purchase long lead time material in advance of POs .

Heat Transfer Group
The strategy put in place to resolve our supply chain issues works well so far. Some items such as motors and actuators are key to our operation and are under pressure. Suppliers are not always able to deliver on time or with the require quantity. Consequently, we’ve decided to overstock some of these items in order to reduce the impact on our customers. Nevertheless, several lead time deliveries on coils are longer that usual, especially on Series 6000, where the lead time delivery has nearly doubled compared to 2019.

We invite every rep organization to stay close to our application engineers and secure a quote price update at the moment of the order. Price volatilities are still present on raw material especially on tubes and strip where important cost increases were observed for the last 12 months. We recognize the pressure on North American suppliers due to limited overseas supply volumes - affecting pricing and material availability.

Finally, our ability to deliver the goods at the acknowledged delivery date remains excellent so far and we plan to continue in the same direction. All representatives can follow their target ship date through the Armstrong website using the AHTG job number or your own PO number. If you are working on large project, please take few minutes to contact your application engineer now to plan ahead for the drawing, approval, procurement, fabrication and delivery.

Humidification Group
Currently, Gas-Fired Humidifiers continue to be 8 - 10 weeks out. Other humidification products are settling back to normal.

As a reminder, we've improved our communication regarding order status. An automated email will be sent to you each evening if there has been a change to an order. This notification will also include a promised delivery date. You can also check Order Status in your User Portal and/or contact the factory directly.
