STEAM, AIR, AND HOT WATER EDITION

Reminder – Price Increase Takes Effect November 4

Armstrong continues to make every effort to control costs in order to keep price increases to a minimum. However, due to an increase in our material costs as well as energy, commodity, and transportation costs, we have determined it necessary to implement a price increase effective November 4, 2019.

See below for the estimated average increase by division. As always, we sincerely appreciate your business and thank you in advance for understanding the necessity of this price increase.

  • Steam and Condensate Group: 3.5%
  • Humidification Group: 3.5%
  • VERIS Flow Measurement Group: 5%
  • Heat Transfer Group: Increases to Duramix and Hotbreath lines
  • Hot Water Group: Dependent on Product Line

Turn Up The Heat

The hot weather we’re experiencing now will soon be a distant memory. As we brace for the winter ahead, tank heaters play an important role to protect water tanks and pump houses from freezing to keep customer assets safe. Armstrong can provide a wide range of flanged mounted tank heaters along with base mounted type heaters, for larger tanks. We build them to withstand the rigorous demands of industrial installations. Heavy duty features such as heavy-walled pipes and headers, thick L-footed fins, double wall design and all-welded construction make Armstrong tank heaters stand up. Contact the Armstrong Heat Transfer Group at 450-378-2655 and turn up the heat this winter.

Crossover Tools Make Your Life Easier

We're rolling out a couple new features for desktop and mobile use in August. First is a Searchable Crossover feature. This feature enables you to enter a competitor’s model or part number to see the Armstrong equivalent product while on your desktop computer.

The Searchable Crossover feature will display the following:

  • Armstrong Part Number
  • Armstrong Model
  • Description Connection Size/Type
  • Specification Pack (product literature, drawing, IOM manual and specification)

This is a living document without all of the crossovers complete. If you run across some that aren't currently available, but know what the correct crossover is, then please contact Jeremiah Mastny so we can add it to our database. We plan to update this feature periodically throughout the year as we receive more product crossover information. The second new feature is the Crossover App that's available through the "Open as App" feature on your smartphone. Just like the desktop version, it allows you to type in a competitor's model or part number to view the Armstrong equivalent product right on your phone. Please contact Mitchell Bingaman with any questions about the app.

VERIS Verabar® Versus Orifice Plate

The best way to compare products is not on its claims, but in an actual application. A major university completed a comparative analysis between the Orifice Plate and Verabar® on an actual chilled water application. Download the comparison to see why Verabar® is the best choice for chilled water applications.
