VERIS Accelabar® Has Strong Presence In VA Hospitals

Did you know that Veteran’s Administration hospitals are using the VERIS Accelabar® from Armstrong? The VERIS Accelabar® can adapt to any pipe configuration and can be used in extremely limited straight run applications. In fact, NO straight run is required! The VERIS Accelabar® can handle a high range of flows while accurately measuring the winter and summer loads of steam with turndowns up to a 65:1 ratio. That means the VERIS Accelabar® delivers accurate and consistent flow rates – no matter what season it is. VERIS Accelabar® is also listed on the General Services Administration (GSA) schedule making it easy for customers to purchase. Learn more about VERIS Accelabar® and download the most recent list of VA Hospitals that use VERIS Accelabar®.

CV1500 Control Valve Shutoff Class Considerations

The standard trim material for the CV1500 is metal-to-metal for the valve plug and seat. This metal-to-metal valve trim meets the requirements for Class IV shutoff. However, a control valve with Class IV trim is not a 100% shutoff valve. A control valve should not be used as a shut off valve as there is a small amount of leakage that can be seen after a Class IV valve. Read more about CV1500 control valve shutoff class considerations.
