Armstrong Heat Transfer Group Acquires Fabrication Métallique Roberts Inc.

The Armstrong Heat Transfer Group is pleased to announce the acquisition of Fabrication Métallique Roberts Inc., a well-established sheet metal manufacturer based in Granby, Quebec.

The new entity will operate under the name of ARMFAB Inc. This acquisition is an important element in the Armstrong Heat Transfer Group’s vertical integration activities as ARMFAB will bring an expertise in sheet metal processes and a fabrication capability of structural components. The transaction will help solidify an important portion of our supply chain consolidating our long history of fabrication. Both companies are excited about this acquisition as we already enjoy a healthy, long standing relationship. Our combined capabilities will improve our offering in product containing a large share of sheet metal such as Dry Coolers, Air Cooled Heat Exchangers, Specialized Air handlers, duct sections and HotBreath.

In today’s volatile business climate, 45 years of serving customers is a rare milestone. Congratulations to Rick Lee for nearly a half-century of dedication and service with Affiliated Steam and Hot Water!

VERIS Now Offers 3D Printing Technology

The VERIS Flow Measurement Group is excited to announce the addition of 3D printing technology to support sales! The team purchased a Stratasys F370 3D printer with a 14x10x14 printing chamber. This type of printing is called Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM) and the thermoplastic materials that can be printed include ABS, PLA, ABS-M30 and the UV stable, production grade ASA in various colors. Within the capacity of the F370 printing chamber, VERIS can now print everything from sales samples and prototypes to casting molds, tooling and gauging, and even finished product. The possibilities of 3D printing are endless. Please contact Nick Shottler or Anthony Ornelas for more information..

Armstrong SH-1600 Update

Earlier this year we introduced the SH-1600 – a high pressure bimetallic steam trap to replace the SH-1500. This new trap uses the same internals as the SH-1500 and is ideal for the same high pressure, superheated steam applications. Its cap and body are made from a ASTM A-182 F22 Class 3 forging which offers the advantage of not requiring post weld heat treat in the field. Additionally, the longer nipples allow for easier post weld heat treatment in the case the end user specification calls for this treatment. The SH-1600 is rated to a MOP of 1 750 psig compared to 1 800 psig for the SH-1500 and is priced significantly lower. Armstrong will continue to offer the SH-1500 while we complete the CRN certification of the SH-1600 and a sourcing plan to meet project “country of origin” requirements when needed. In the meantime, we encourage you to begin placing orders now for the SH-1600 and be sure to download the latest product literature.

Now Available For Download

Updated literature is available for the new CD-80S Series disc traps. It now includes weights and dimensions for flanged options. The CD-80S Series is well suited for medium to high pressure environments typically found in petrochemical and power applications. With an integral strainer and rugged construction, the CD-82S is compact and reliable for high pressure applications with low condensate loads.

Armstrong has updated its application guidelines for HumidiPack® AHU. The new literature provides more information on the recommended installation procedure as well as additional considerations that must be taken when installing the HumidiPack® series inside of air handling units.

New Lead Management System Up And Running

Last month we implemented a new lead management system called Interlynx. This new system enables better sharing and tracking of leads that Armstrong supplies to you. Please submit any general questions, questions about reports, or technical support requests to: support@armstrong-interlynx.com.

Find A Rep Form Tip

When using the Find A Rep form, please be sure to use the form in the User Portal, found at the bottom of your dashboard, as opposed to the form located in the slider with the Contact Us and Request a Quote forms. The dashboard form has fewer fields to complete and it will also help keep your information out of our end-user tracking data.
