Python 1500 Series Control Valve Improvements Released

Armstrong has made several updates and improvements to the Python 1500 Series Control Valves including:

Stainless Steel Valves – released from ½” to 2” sizes (DN 15 to 50) with larger sizes coming soon. This will improve the valve service life for corrosive and abrasive applications. The stainless steel CV1500 is offered with flanged connections only. All wetted surfaces that contact the process media will be 316 stainless steel.

P.T.F.E. Soft Seat – released from ½” to 2” sizes (DN 15 to 50) with larger sizes coming soon. With this addition to the product we will be able to achieve higher shutoff Class VI which is ideal for critical applications where tight shutoff is needed.

Stellite Faced Valve Trim – ½” to 4” sizes (DN15 to 100). For greater durability and customer preference we are now offering this trim option. The primary application is for high pressure/high turn down applications.

New stem coupling design – another enhancement that is currently offered for the CV1500 with actuator sizes 174 and 348. This is an improved stem coupling design to increase valve service life and greater ease of service on the valves.

Electric Pump Drawings Now Available

Have you checked out the Rep Configurator yet? Several new product categories were added last month and drawings for Electric Pumps are now available. The Configurator enables you to log in through the Armstrong website User Portal to view part numbers, download drawings and obtain list prices as well as link to product literature and IOMs. Download these helpful guidelines for step by step instructions of how to use the Configurator.

Refrigeration Valves To Be Discontinued

Armstrong will discontinue the SuperFreeze Valves refrigeration products. We will no longer stock these products and will not be able to supply parts after our current inventory is gone. If you have an existing quote or open project, please notify us so we can save enough inventory to fulfill the order. We will continue to promote and sell the Purger product line for the refrigeration market.

Steam Systems eHandbook Now Available

The Armstrong Steam and Condensate Group has again sponsored the Steam Systems eHandbook published by Chemical Processing magazine. Check out the article on steam system management (pages 17-19). Subscribers who complete a form to download the eHandbook can request to be contacted by an Armstrong representative and we will forward those leads to you as they are received.

Hot Off The Press

The Armstrong Heat Transfer Group has a new brochure that features a host of customized solutions. You can now order printed copies or download the PDF. Check it out and contact the Armstrong Heat Transfer Group about all the custom solutions they can create and deliver to support your customer’s needs.

Also, be sure to download the new Finned-Tube Product Applications Handbook. It’s a great resource to help you determine market and sales potential for heating and cooling coils, unit heaters and tank heaters.

Rep Schools Offer Hands-On Learning

Rep Schools are a great way to learn about Armstrong solutions and roll-up your sleeves with hands-on learning. Last month three Rep Schools were held. The two-day Armstrong Humidification School was followed by a two-day Hot Water Group School in Three Rivers. Both featured market overviews, competitive reviews and selling strategies for Armstrong solutions as well as hands-on training sessions and live demonstrations.

The Armstrong Heat Transfer Rep School was also held in Granby, Quebec. Attendees received introductory and advanced training on heating, cooling, air and liquid heat transfer applications using coils, tank heaters, space heaters and HVAC equipment. Thanks to everyone for participating and making Armstrong Rep Schools a great hands-on learning opportunity!
