STEAM, AIR, AND HOT WATER EDITION

Armstrong Leadership Update

On January 27th, we announced changes in our leadership and management as part of our long-term transition plan. Gus Armstrong retired as Chairman of the Board of Armstrong Global Holdings, Inc. and Patrick Armstrong will now assume responsibilities as Chairman of the Board. Doug Bloss will serve as President and Chief Executive Officer reporting to Patrick. We also welcome Ryan Bloss and Matthew Bloss to the Armstrong Executive Committee.

After many years of service, Greg Martin announced his retirement as President of the Armstrong International – Steam and Condensate Group, effective June 30th. We are grateful to Greg for his many years of leadership and service. We are also pleased to announce that Patricia Provot will succeed Greg as President of Armstrong International Steam and Condensate Group.

Armstrong’s global presence and financial health are strong and we are poised for continued growth and success.

ReadiTemp and IMC – Prepare For Launch

The Armstrong Hot Water Group is excited to announce the pre-launch of ReadiTemp and IMC product sets designed to enhance our industrial hot water offering.

ReadiTemp – This industrial steam instantaneous heater is designed like the Digital-Flo® Shell & Tube. However, instead of featuring The Brain®, ReadiTemp will feature Emech®. This package offers precise hot water temperature control with ability to be used as a one pass or recirculated system and enables users to generate and control temperatures greater than 200°F if desired.

IMC – Industrial Mixing Center features Emech® for applications where precise water temperature control is needed. Just as The Brain® Model DMC is pre-piped, the Emech® Model IMC will follow the same line of thinking, however, the IMC can also be used for one pass as well as recirculation applications.

New OEM Strategy Unveiled – The Big 12

After years of research, we have narrowed down thousands of OEM’s to a list of The Big 12. This list includes OEM’s we have been doing business with for decades as well as others that represent great potential and that we seek to build a relationship with.

There are many OEM’s, some justify a sales call, while others carry slim margins so some may not feel like they are worth their time. It’s important to recognize that the value of an OEM isn’t just the original sale, but also the sale by the OEM to the end user. Think of OEM’s as an additional channel to market to which helps everyone from an MRO standpoint and by gaining market share.

While we don’t want to neglect other OEM’s, The Big 12 is the priority focus for Armstrong. These OEM’s have the potential for global specifications and pricing agreements that will benefit all Armstrong representatives around the world.

If any of the Big 12 are located in your territory, please review your current relationship and contact Kyle Higginbotham about our global success stories. Kyle will be contacting you to schedule sales calls at Big 12 sites in North America in support of this global strategy.

What’s Wrong With This Photo? – Part 2

Congratulations to Doug Pryer for being the first person to correctly answer last month’s “What’s Wrong With This Photo?” feature. Doug correctly identified that in last month’s photo (see photo #1), the recirculation pump was incorrectly installed on the return to heater line versus the recirculated return from the building.

Now, can you identify the major piping issue with the installation in photo #2? The first person to reply to Tim Jones correctly identifying the issue will receive an Armstrong golf shirt.

CD-72 Disc Traps Update

Armstrong is in the process of redesigning the CD-72 series disc traps. Until the redesign is complete, please consider using the CD-3300 w/ IS2 connector block or the CD-60 series as a suitable replacement. If the application requires socket welds, then you will need to use the SW IS2 w/ the CD-3300. Please contact Armstrong if you have questions or need help to determine the best option for your CD-72 requirements.

Ship To Reminder

Whenever you place an order that ships to a hospital, college or government facility (or even a job site), please include a contact name and phone number. We will add that to the bill of lading so the carrier will deliver to the correct person. Our shipping department frequently receives calls from carriers requesting this information and providing it up front will help expedite the order.

Unit Heaters That Perform Under Pressure
