Summer Is A Hot Time For Processes – Think Cooler

As we think ahead to the warmer weather of summer, the Armstrong Heat Transfer Group wants to remind you that we can solve problems that typically occur during warm weather months with our air-cooled and custom built heat exchangers.

Commonly used in industrial applications where a reliable source of water may not be available, Armstrong air-cooled heat exchangers meet API 661 standards for refinery, chemical and power plant environments. These units are versatile and can be used in the following ways:

• As a steam condenser where excess steam needs to be condensed
• As a condensate cooler to return condensate at a specific temperature
• As an oil cooler for lubricate oil
• As a heat dump for close water tower cooling with no plume associated with typical cooling towers
• As a steam turbine condenser

Armstrong air-cooled heat exchangers feature heavy duty, series 6000 construction making them ideal for energy intensive industrial environments. The motor assembly and direct drive fans have a proven track record of performance. Installation can be made in very low temperature regions and there’s no need for field erection. Hail guards protect fins and steam coils are also protected from freezing. Each unit is custom made according to your specifications.
