Introducing the Rada Digital Faucet

Armstrong, the Digital Water Temperature Control pioneer, introduces the Rada Digital Faucet. The Brain® Digital Recirculating Valve first changed healthcare facility hot water design and operation by delivering a new, unparalleled level of hot water system temperature control. By introducing the Rada Digital Faucet, Armstrong continues to innovate by moving the digital technology already proven in the mechanical room downstream to the point of use.

Join us on July 7th or July 9th for an informative webinar to learn more about this new exciting product offering from the Hot Water Group.

Vortex Meter Technology Webinar

A lot has changed since the launch of the Armstrong Vortex Meter in 2016. While Vortex is the most common meter technology for steam applications, cheaper competitors have saturated the market and customers have become more price sensitive – especially during these times when oil and gas production is down. The VERIS Flow Measurement Group has researched the situation and we invite you to join us for this upcoming webinar featuring the Vortex Meter on June 23, 2020 at 2:00 PM EDT. You’ll learn how the technology works, where to apply it and strategies for sales success.

Beat the Heat

Summer is here, and the cooling season is underway. Now is a great time to support customers who are planning unit shutdowns to replace cooling coils. Remember that Armstrong Duralite™ Plate Fin Liquid Coils are available in a wide-range of construction designs and material thicknesses - from two to 12 rows, with double, full or half circuits, and custom circuits are also available. All Armstrong coils are custom built, and the connection location can be fabricated for easy replacement. And don't forget about our Quick Ship program. For more information contact an Armstrong Heat Transfer Group application engineer at 450-378-2655.

Food for Thought

Welcome to Food For Thought – a monthly column dedicated to helping you sink your teeth into opportunities and happenings in food markets. During your search for new customers to sell to, don’t forget about the Armstrong Steam Harness (ASH). The ASH delivers Key Operating Parameters (KOP’s) regarding the overall health of the thermal (steam) system, generation to point of use and the production of animal feed (Pelletized, Extruded or Flaked Corn). View this Application Highlight from a successful ASH installation and contact Steve Ashby, Director of Armstrong Global Food and Pharmaceutical Markets, if you have any questions or need advice on how to approach feed customers. Look for another highlight of Food For Thought next month.

What’s Wrong With This Photo?

We all know The Brain® is the best digital mixing valve in the world – when it is installed correctly. When not installed correctly, the ensuing troubleshooting and resolution can be painful, time-consuming, costly and unenjoyable for everyone.

A little pro-active engagement on installation and commissioning will save time, deliver a much higher return on investment and fulfill our mission of an enjoyable experience. Take the time to assess this installation and submit your answer(s). If you see more than one talking point, bullet-point your observations in an email to Dan Tomlinson.

Each correct observation will earn you a ticket for a chance to win an Armstrong shirt. Look for the reveal of the formal assessment of this installation and another chance to play “What’s Wrong with this Picture?” next month.

Space Saving “Mod-Quad” For Kansas Hospital Takes Flight

The official state motto of Kansas is the Latin phrase, Ad Astra Per Aspera – which means "To the Stars Through Difficulty". That’s a fitting introduction to this DF8120Q80-80BS MODULAR that is out of this world, and the flight path taken to launch it for production.

That path took a total of eight sales special quotes, three sales special drawings and two complete orbits around the sun before landing the order. This configuration allows the assembly to be broken down into five individual modules. Less gravity means much less thrust is required for transport to the installation site. NASA-level engineering of the modules greatly simplifies re-assembly.

Congratulations to the team at Hughes Machinery that navigated this mission from the initial countdown to order re-entry! This may well eclipse any previous modular units we have delivered.
